For inventors
From an idea to something you can hold
You don't need CAD skills or a finished drawing. Describe the idea, share sketches and measurements, and we'll scope a design and prototype plan — confidentially, with your ownership of the design tracked explicitly.
Who it's for
- First-time inventors
- Entrepreneurs preparing a pitch
- Anyone with a sketch and a problem to solve
How it works
- 01
Send a confidential brief
Describe the problem, the idea and any constraints. You can request an NDA before sharing details.
- 02
Discovery
We ask clarifying questions and agree on what the first prototype should prove.
- 03
Paid design proposal
A fixed scope, price and revision allowance — design is priced separately from printing.
- 04
Prototype and iterate
You test it, we revise, until it's ready for the next step.
What to send us
- What problem the invention solves
- Sketches, photos or similar products
- Rough dimensions
- Your budget range and timeline
Honest limits
- We don't provide patent, legal or market advice
- Printed prototypes are for testing and presentation, not certified consumer production
- We'll be candid if an idea needs a different process than FDM
Materials
Early prototypes are usually PLA for speed and cost; later functional prototypes may move to PETG. Compare materials.
Questions
Will you keep my idea confidential?
Yes. Briefs and files are private, you can request an NDA, and nothing is published without your written permission.
Who owns the design?
Ownership is recorded on your project. By default you own the design you commissioned; there's no automatic transfer of rights to FORMYQ.
Ready to start?
Every request is reviewed by a person before anything is priced or charged.
